Anastasis was Central College's school sponsored CCM rock band. I wasn't even going to audition to play in the band...but the director informed me that no one was trying out for drums...so I gave it a shot. Because the band was selected and put together by the school, it made for a very diverse and eclectic group of musicians: singer Tanya, guitarist Paul Roberts, guitarist/rapper Randy, bassist Sam, and myself on drums...which led to a wide range of songs we covered. Despite the challenges of working together with such diversity, we really worked well together...and seemed to appeal to some of our student peers...but it still felt like the other band on campus was the 'cool' band. We recorded a few songs for studio class projects...but we only played one originally song written by Paul...and this is a recording of that song from our last performance together.
