I came up with the initial guitar "riff" for this song. I had drum part in mind for it, but when Ryan played this completely different beat for it, there was no sense in trying to make mine work because his was perfect.
This EP was recorded at the camp we worked at in California during the summer of 2001...actually tracked in the place where we played worship and held the services, with only the house sound system, a slow computer with a stereo soundcard, and a few dynamic mics to work with...but it turned out pretty amazing considering the conditions.
Every time I listen to this track, I'm blown away by what we had become...a long ways away from the acoustic pop band that I joined...and actually becoming a pretty good band after playing together literally every day for an entire summer.
